At Larry's oil painting, we specialize in bringing the joy of Bob Ross oil painting to everyone. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, our classes are designed to be fun, relaxing, and rewarding.

Landscape

Create breathtaking landscapes using the Bob Ross "Wet-on-Wet" technique. Learn to paint happy little trees, majestic mountains, and serene lakes in a single session.

Floral

Discover the beauty of floral painting with vibrant colors and delicate details. Paint stunning leaves and petals, lilies, and other beautiful blooms using the Bob Ross method.

Seascape

No experience needed

As a certified Bob Ross instructor in landscape, floral, seascape, and wildlife, Larry makes painting accessible and enjoyable for everyone. In just 3 hours, you'll complete a Bob Ross-style oil painting that you'll be proud to display. Let Larry show you the joy of painting!

To Register for a class at the Woodlands Art League, you must go to their website to signup and pay them.

To register for a class at my venue, please email me.

Larry Wiers has been painting for over 40 years and is a certified Bob Ross landscape, wildlife, and floral instructor.  No experience is needed and in one lesson, you will make and take home a landscape painting that you will be proud of.  Our painting parties for friends and co-workers are so much fun and an event that everyone will remember!  Contact Larry for information on classes, painting parties, individual lessons ($150), or landscape oil paintings for sale in The Woodlands, Spring, or Tomball, Texas area of North Houston. WILDLIFE CLASS IMPORTANT NOTE: The cost for wildlife classes is $80......they  go longer than 3 hours because of the acrylic work involved and because of soft oil paints used.  A pattern will be used to create form and shape of the animal but rest assured, this is what all good nature wildlife painters do.  You will spend a considerable amount of time shading and smudging in acrylics to get the body depth needed.......then oil painting will be put on the acrylics to give the look needed.  I will prep all canvases prior to class with gesso and the pattern.  This technique will give amazing results!  For those of you that have painted with me before, you will enjoy the different skills involved.

Learn the authentic Bob Ross "Wet-on-Wet" technique from a certified instructor. Larry's classes are designed to be fun, relaxing, and informative, ensuring that you leave with a painting you're proud of and a newfound appreciation for the joy of painting.  Larry has been painting for over 40 years and teaching for 15 years.  

What to expect

In each class, you can expect to complete a full Bob Ross style oil painting in about 3 hours. I provide easels, canvas, brushes, paints, and instruction.  YOU will need to bring paper towels or napkins and baby wipes for your hands   If you have an old apron bring it as you might get paint on your clothes.  By the end of the class, you'll have a beautiful painting to take home and display, plus the skills and confidence to continue painting on your own.
